Something that came up consistently in the reviews I read of the Museum of Life in the PRL was that the museum’s large collection of artefacts told the story of an ordinary person’s experience of life under communism in Poland. I focused on this idea of storytelling and ordinary household objects in developing the brand identity ‘Opowi’ ('let me tell'). The colours and typefaces I chose were inspired by those I saw in posters and branding from this era, while still trying to create a contemporary looking identity.
